Why this practice is built around self-knowledge rather than instruction.
A map tells you where to go. A mirror tells you what you are working with. Charts are much better at the second job, and most of the harm done in this field comes from pretending otherwise.
A good reading should leave you more able to describe yourself, not more dependent on the person who read for you. That means plain language, no jargon left unexplained, and an explicit account of what the chart cannot tell you.
It also means an end point. If someone needs a reading before every decision, the practice has stopped working. We would rather hand over the vocabulary and see you again in a year.
This is the standard we hold ourselves to: nothing predicted that cannot be acted on, nothing framed as fate, nothing sold through fear.
